Can one do tayammum in place of ghusl during the cold weather due to having high blood pressure?

Assalamu Alikum Sir,

I live in Kashmir, India.THe temperature is very low and now-a-days, the temperature goes down to minus 6 to minus 7. Though I have access to the warm water, but i Am a blood pressure patient. I fear that if I go for a bath early in the morning, when the temperature is very low, it might raise my blood pressure. a few times my blood pressure has gone very high -- upto dangerous level -- soi fear to bath early in the morning. SO if i am in need of Ghusul because of marital engagement, would it be permissible for me to perform Tayammum? or in the alternative should I give up engagement with my wife? And in case I perform tayammum instead of Ghusul, Do I have to perform Wadhu afresh orwould the Tayammum for bathing be suffficient for me?

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If one is need of ghusl and there is fear that if one will perform ghusl or wudhu, that will risk one’s life or health, then only tayammum will be permissible. In your situation, you fear that you will get high blood pressure if you bath with hot water. You cannot also bath with cold water when the weather is -6° or -7°. It is therefore permissible for you to make tayammum instead making of ghusl. The intention of tayammum should be to cleanse oneself from janabat (major impurity).[1]
